What classes does Pentaho offer?
Pentaho Training offers several classes organized into learning paths and at different skill levels to better meet your knowledge needs. Use
our training catalog to select the course that is best for you. Visit the online course schedule to register for courses.
How are courses delivered?
We offer courses in an instructor-led format. Courses are targeted for either classroom or online delivery.
What do I need to bring to a classroom delivered course?
All students must bring their own computer to the course. The computer should meet the following specifications:
- A DVD player
- A minimum of 1GHz CPU with 512MB RAM. A 1.3GHz CPU with 512MB RAM is recommended
- Microsoft Windows XP or Vista with the latest available service packs
What do I need in order to attend an online course?
Online courses require a broadband Internet connection, the use of a modern web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or Mozilla
Firefox 2.0, and the installation of a player to view and participate in the class.
How do I register for a course?
You can register for any public or online course. You can even register for individual topic sessions of online courses. In either case,
there are three ways to register.

Does Pentaho offer private, onsite courses?
Yes. Pentaho offers private onsite training. Contact us if you are interested
in scheduling and tailoring a private onsite course.
How much does training cost?
It varies by course and delivery method. Select courses are less expensive when purchased two weeks in advance. We also give a discount if
you purchase an entire online course through our sales team.
Does Pentaho offer discounts for early registration?
For select public classroom courses, you receive a 20% discount for completing registration more than two weeks in advance. Payment must
be received at the time of registration to receive the discount.
How do I pay for courses?
You can pay for courses using a credit card. We can issue an invoice (for reimbursement) on request for any payment method.
Contact us for other payment modes. Note: Registration is not guaranteed
until we receive payment.
Can I use Pentaho Credits for a course?
Pentaho Credits can be redeemed for attendance in classroom or online training. Contact us
if you would like to redeem your credits or click here if you would like more information about
a Pentaho subscription.
What time does class start?
Classroom delivered classes run from 9 AM to 5 PM; however, we begin the first day at 8:30 AM. Dress is casual. Your registration email
will note this, and other specifics about the location. The start times and duration for online courses are documented on the training
schedule and communicated during the registration process.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
For classroom delivered courses, Pentaho will refund 100% of your money if you cancel more than two weeks in advance. If you must
cancel within two weeks Pentaho will refund only 50% of the registration fee.
For online courses, Pentaho will refund 100% of your money if you cancel your attendance in the entire course more than two weeks
before the beginning of the first topic session of the course. If you purchase individual online topic sessions, we will be happy to
reschedule you for a future topic session.
Does Pentaho ever cancel/reschedule classes?
Pentaho reserves the right to cancel classes for any reason no later than two weeks prior to the training start date. Pentaho will refund
100% of the amount paid and provide you with a 10% discount on any course you attend within 90 days. Pentaho will not, in any event,
be responsible for the travel expense or loss of time of any registrant.
What happens if I have to leave the class early?
Of course, you are welcome to leave at your discretion. However, Pentaho does not refund for students who don't show or who leave early.
What can I do with my course materials after training?
All materials, handouts, exercises, software, and access to course recordings provided to students during Pentaho Training courses
and sessions (classroom or online) are intended only for the student attending training. You may continue to use the materials
for your own personal, professional reference; however, you may not share or distribute these materials with others
(publicly or at your own organization).
