Orlando, Fla — January 13, 2011 — Pentaho Corporation, the open source business intelligence (BI) and data integration leader, today announced that Ian Fyfe has joined the company as chief technology evangelist. In this role, Mr. Fyfe will drive adoption of Pentaho's BI Suite by promoting the use of Pentaho products through talks, webinars, articles, blogging, and demonstrations, focusing on Pentaho's customer base to ensure their needs are being met and exceeded, and by providing input on high-level product strategy and roadmap development.
Mr. Fyfe spent the last six years as the senior director of product management and product marketing at Jaspersoft. He has extensive experience in the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse industry including product management roles at PeopleSoft, Pivotal, Epiphany and Business Objects. He was also a cofounder of the Intelligent Office Company, an executive information systems start-up, where he worked with several of the founders of Pentaho.
