Veteran Joins Commercial Open Source BI Leader
Orlando, FL. – Oct 7, 2008 – Pentaho, the commercial open source alternative for
business intelligence (BI), today announced that Lars Nordwall has joined the
company in the role of Senior Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Nordwall's organization is responsible for
working with strategic ISVs that embed Pentaho's commercial open source technology within their application offerings,
developing strategic technology partnerships, working with resellers, and further enabling Pentaho's growing global
network of Pentaho Certified Systems Integrators.
Mr. Nordwall brings over 15 years of technology sales and executive management experience to Pentaho. Previously, Mr. Nordwall was the Vice
President of Worldwide Sales for SugarCRM where he helped transform an early stage start-up in 2005 into a global firm with thousands of
customers. Prior to joining SugarCRM, he spent four years in senior sales leadership positions at Novell focused on the company's open
source and solution strategy. Mr Nordwall joined Novell as a result of an acquisition of Cambridge Technology Partners where he spent
six years in various sales and consulting leadership positions, including Senior Director of the Global Business Intelligence Practice.
Since Pentaho's founding in 2004 as the first commercial open source BI company, the third-party ecosystem around Pentaho has grown

data integration, and data mining,
as well as the company's ability to provide a complete BI suite. Pentaho's commercial open source BI products are now distributed by global leaders like Red
Hat, Savvion, and Sun Microsystems. Leading open source companies and projects like Compiere, Openbravo, OpenMRS, and others have collaborated with Pentaho to
expand their business intelligence capabilities. And major systems integrators like Satyam Computer Services and
Unisys have teamed up with Pentaho to address global demand among end user organizations for Pentaho products and services.
