BI4DBAs: Using Pentaho, BIRT, and Eclipse for Monitoring MySQL
Wednesday April 25, 4:40-6:15pm
Roland Bouman, Certification Developer, MySQL A.B., will discuss how to develop an innovative application for MySQL database monitoring. From Roland's session description, "For a MySQL database/data warehousing environments, Pentaho is a natural fit. Pentaho ships with MySQL connectors, and there is ample community support for working with Pentaho and MySQL." Using the Workflow, Bursting, and ETL features integrated in Pentaho, Roland will show how diagnostic information can be collected from a farm of MySQL databases to drive custom KPI's.
