Chief Executive Officer
Quentin joined Pentaho as CEO in October 2011 to aggressively lead the company through its next phase of growth. Quentin has a winning track record of scaling technology companies in high-growth markets over the last 20 years. He has an extensive experience in data warehousing and data analytics serving as CEO at Aster Data, Pivot Link and Postini (chronologically). At Verisign (Nasdaq: VRSN), where he was EVP of worldwide sales and service for eight years, he helped scale the company from from $13 million in revenues in 1997 to more than a billion in revenues in 2004. Quentin also has proven leadership managing and growing Asia Pacific and Latin America markets from his key executive roles at Netscape Communications and then General Electric Company where he spent 12 years.
Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer
Doug is responsible for worldwide professional services, training and technical support and the global finance operations. He brings over 20 years of experience in operations and finance at technology companies including Fusion Systems, Discreet Logic, THINQ Learning Solutions and Black Duck Software. During his career, Doug has led numerous capital market transactions, both public and private, and a number of M&A transactions.
Chief Marketing Officer
Rosanne is responsible for Pentaho's strategic messaging, product marketing and lead generation. Rosanne is a seasoned marketing executive with over 20 years of results-driven marketing, management and finance experience in the high tech industry. Prior to Pentaho, Rosanne held senior positions at HP, Pivotlink, BEA Systems and Olliance Systems. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford and received an MBA from University of Virginia.
Executive Vice President Worldwide Sales
Rod Squires is responsible for the leadership of the worldwide sales organization. Rod brings more than 25 years of experience managing all aspects of worldwide sales and operations in emerging and established companies. Throughout his career, Rod has proven a high degree of success quickly ramping prosperous software companies. Prior to Pentaho, Rod held senior leadership positions at Savvion, Inc, (acquired by Progress Software), Vitria Technology, Parametric Technology and Xerox Corporation.
Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer
Chris leads Pentaho’s effort to define future market requirements and drive the next wave of innovation around governed, blended big data discovery and advanced analytics. Chris has decades of expertise in Predictive Analytics, Business Analytics and Big Data strategic initiatives crossing software, services and hardware. Prior to Pentaho he was VP of product strategy and growth initiatives for Business Analytics at IBM. He has previously held leadership roles in product management as VP at Cognos, Hyperion Solutions, and Crystal Reports as well as VP of product development at Business Objects.
Executive Vice President Engineering
Bob is a world-class software development executive with an extensive background in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Predictive Analytics, Big Data Analytics and Cloud based Analytical Applications. His responsibility is to lead Pentaho’s outstanding engineering team to build products that deliver Pentaho’s mission of "building the future of analytics." Prior to Pentaho, Bob was the SVP of engineering at Pivotlink. He has also held senior positions at PrecisionPoint Software,SPSS, Inc. and Hyperion, where he successfully built out large engineering teams across the globe.
Executive Vice President Business Development
Eddie is responsible for developing Pentaho's strategic relationships with big data vendors and commercializing Pentaho Business Analytics for major cloud/SaaS hardware and software vendors. Eddie has more than 20 years of experience helping businesses meet and exceed their sales revenue and growth targets through, business development, strategic alliances partnerships, and acquisitions. Prior to Pentaho, Eddie held senior leadership positions at Sentilla, Computer Associates, Adaptec and Eurologic.
Founder and Chief Strategy Officer
Richard co-founded Pentaho in 2004 and is responsible for strategic initiatives, customer and partner relationships and leading product strategies including Big Data, customer adoption and Cloud Analytics. Richard has held key executive management positions in the business intelligence software market for over 20 years, starting his career at IBM. Richard was a Co-Founder at AppSource Corporation (acquired by Arbor Software which later merged into Hyperion Solutions) and Keyola (acquired by Lawson Software).
Senior Vice President, Community
Pedro joined the team as Senior VP, Community in April 2013 following Pentaho's acquisition of his company, Webdetails. Pedro also serves as the General Manager for Webdetails, which continues to operate under its original brand as a Pentaho company. Since 2008 Pedro and his team at Webdetails have been designing high-end custom interfaces for many Pentaho clients in Europe and North America including Mozilla, Stonegate Senior Living and St Antonius Hospital. His team also builds and maintains plug-ins for Pentaho, most notably the extremely popular Community Tools or “CTools” series for creating and managing dashboards and reports. Pedro has extensive experience as a B2B systems integrator through his previous roles at Tekever and Think, where he specialized in electronic invoice and healthcare management software.
Founder and CTO
As CTO at Pentaho, James Dixon is responsible for Pentaho's architecture and technology roadmap. James has over 15 years of professional experience in software architecture, development and systems consulting. Prior to Pentaho, James held key technical roles at AppSource Corporation (acquired by Arbor Software which later merged into Hyperion Solutions) and Keyola (acquired by Lawson Software). Earlier in his career, James was a technology consultant working with large and small firms to deliver the benefits of innovative technology in real-world environments.
Founder and Chief Engineer
Marc has been in the BI industry since the early 1990's when he was building EIS (Executive Information System) applications for companies such as Florida Power and Light, Martin Marietta, Westing House, VF Corporation, The Bailey Company, and AT&T. Also a Co-Founder of AppSource Corporation (acquired by Arbor Software which later merged into Hyperion Solutions) and Keyola (acquired by Lawson Software).
VP of Pentaho Labs
Will is VP of Pentaho Labs focused on driving innovation in big data integration and analytics through incubation of new breakthrough advanced technologies. He has worked on the Pentaho Business Analytics Platform since 2007, holding roles such as Chief Architect, VP of Engineering and is the author of Packt Publishing's Pentaho Reporting 3.5 for Java Developers. Prior to joining Pentaho, Will held various roles at GE Research, on projects ranging from aircraft engine expert systems to medical informatics focused on predicting Alzheimer's progression. Will has a Masters degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University. A fun fact about Will is that he served eight years in the Army National Guard and is a certified Lego Master.
Chief Architect, PDI/Kettle Project Founder
Matt Casters is founder and primary sponsor of the Kettle project and is responsible for leading the architecture and delivery of Pentaho's Data Integration solutions. Matt has more than 12 years experience in data warehousing and business intelligence. His background as a Unix support professional, a programmer, and a database consultant, combined with the business knowledge he gained from leading BI implementations lead him to the create the Kettle (now Pentaho Data Integration) software platform.
Senior Data Mining Consultant / Engineer
Mark Hall is one of the original core developers of the Weka data mining software and is responsible for leading Pentaho's data mining solutions. He has 15 years experience as an academic researcher in computer science and has published extensively in machine learning and data mining conferences and journals. Prior to joining Pentaho, Mark held teaching and postdoctoral fellowship positions at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.
Chief Architect, Pentaho Reporting
Thomas leads the ongoing development and "hatching" of the reporting capabilities of the Pentaho platform. In 2001 Thomas started to work on the JFreeReport project (now Pentaho Reporting) and since then he takes his time to give loving attention to the project and to weeding any bugs out of the code.
