Pentaho Expands Distribution Channels through Open Source Channel Alliance to Meet Growing Demand

Orlando, FL – Apr 14, 2009 – Pentaho Corp., a commercial open source alternative for business intelligence, today announced a significant expansion in its global distribution capabilities through the Open Source Channel Alliance, led by Red Hat and SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), offering Pentaho BI Suite Enterprise Edition along with other leading open source products.

Led by Red Hat, the Open Source Channel Alliance is a consortium of open source Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). The Open Source Channel Alliance is aimed at delivering the value of open source technologies to a large base of value added resellers (VARs) and system integrators through expanded distribution agreements with SYNNEX. Pentaho is one of nine founding ISV members in the Open Source Channel Alliance.

Pentaho is one of the only commercial open source BI providers that delivers an entire end-to-end BI suite, with leadership and sponsorship of all of its open source BI projects. As part of the partnership, SYNNEX VARs can now distribute Pentaho's entire product portfolio, including:

• Pentaho BI Suite Enterprise Edition — Pentaho's entire, integrated portfolio of business intelligence products that have made it a commercial open source alternative to traditional, proprietary BI suites
