2017 Excellence Awards
The Pentaho Excellence Awards recognizes the innovative and impactful ways that customers worldwide deploy Pentaho technologies. The third annual awards program will select one winner in six categories. The company with the highest overall score will be awarded the Customer of the Year Award.
Big Data provides endless opportunities for capturing real-time information in order to influence the direction of products, services and marketing campaigns. However, selecting the “right” data from blended, diverse data sources can be challenging. Customers in this category will be recognized for leveraging Big Data Technologies (e.g. Hadoop, NoSQL or Spark) to overcome their data challenges and create business value.
Embedding analytics into applications can create a competitive advantage, drive new revenue streams, and increase customer engagement. Customers in this category will be recognized for successfully embedding, extending or customizing Pentaho to create a unique, value-added analytics solution.
Leaders in enterprise deployments have the challenge of supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications. Customers in this category will be recognized for the most transformative Pentaho deployment across an enterprise that future proofs their business, develops and scales new analytic capabilities to impact their company’s bottom line.
Internet of Things
Internet of Things is viewed as one of the biggest technology disruptions in today’s market. The explosion of IoT devices is generating a massive amount of data that organizations need to effectively integrate, manage and analyze in order to provide business value. Customers in this category will be recognized for leveraging data from devices to improve customer engagement, enhance operations and drive new revenue opportunities through machine learning or predictive analytics.
Return on Investment (ROI) is a way to evaluate and measure the success of your Pentaho investment. Customers in this category will be recognized for evaluating ROI in terms of either $/£/¥/€ savings from reducing infrastructure/resource costs or revenue impact from increasing productivity/product time-to-market.
We define Social Impact as the strategies, concepts and ideas that are making the biggest impact on business, society and the planet. Customers in this category will be recognized for using Pentaho to make a positive impact on the world for discovering new ways to treat chronic medical conditions, preventing crime, improving communications to reducing our carbon footprint.
