Description
This position relies on knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures involving usability and user interface design for client-side, web-based and/or mobile applications. Working closely with multiple teams to provide specifications / prototypes / wireframes based on pre-established guidelines for a common, user friendly experience is expected. Exercising independent judgment for day to day decisions is necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with Engineering, Product Management and Design Team for requirements and implementation details focused on making user experience recommendations
• Define and document user interface specifications and visual interfaces
• Work closely with engineering team to ensure smooth integration with back-end technologies
• Unit test all UI components and work closely with QA on testing
• Develop wireframe prototypes of user interaction
• Deliver refined mockups of concepts
• Ensures user experience is formulated to achieve the goals of the target use

Education / Experience and Skills:

• Associates degree or greater (Bachelors preferred) focusing on user-centered design
• 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
• In-depth knowledge of and demonstrated experience in usability studies and GUI design
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator) and other prototyping / design / development tools
• Knowledge of web and desktop application interactions / capabilities
• Reliable, self-motivated, and focused on high quality delivery of work products
• Skilled in navigating the pitfalls and benefits of working as part of a team
• Multiple operating system experience a bonus
• Applicant should be able to provide samples upon request
