Position:
Channel Sales Manager

Overview:
Pentaho is currently seeking a Channels Manager to drive the continuous evolution of Pentaho's Channel Sales process with Resellers and System Integrators, to ensure that our partners achieve excellent sales performance and superior customer satisfaction. This is a key role within the Channel organization with great opportunities for promotion and career advancement. The ideal candidate must be a seasoned enterprise software sales executive with a proven track record in rapidly growing organizations.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Working with Pentaho's partners to generate new business in existing accounts and in new markets, as well as ensuring our partners assist in delivering successful BI projects across regions.
  • Working with our partners to develop goto-market plans which will include, lead generation activities, pipeline management, training/education and development of joint offerings.
  • Working closely with partner executive management to agree go to market activities in specific industries and territories.
  • Providing consistent partner management to ensure that our partners are developing their sales, pre sales and delivery capabilities in line with Pentaho's sales strategy.
  • Providing a consistent contractual and business environment for our partners.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to drive significant revenue through both alliance partnerships and direct enterprise sales.
  • Proven experience with enterprise software sales, preferably Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
  • Over achiever with strong salesmanship.
  • Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and partner constituencies including senior level executives, legal, finance, support, sales and marketing resources.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business.
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with a "win-win" philosophy.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, order management and business analytics in a rapidly growing environment.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of application servers such as JBoss, Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, or BEA WebLogic
  • Skilled in navigating the pitfalls and benefits of working as part of a start up team
  • 4-year University degree or equivalent in Marketing, Computer Science or related field
